We are proud to have with us today the Founder of Project America Foundation Ms. Betty Kilbride. Ms. Kilbride only loans her name to military and Veteran Service Organizations that help bring about changes that affect our national defense, national security and veteran's benefits. Her extensive career spans over 300 political campaigns, as well as, working with the United States Military -- whereby gaining the respect of the highest-ranking members of our Armed Forces, federal government and both political parties. That experience gained her an invitation to become an embedded writer with the United States Marine Corps and other units on the ground in Iraq this past year as an independent observer. That experience not only gave a first hand knowledge of what it's like to go to war with our brave warriors, but also brought up issues concerning the fundamental family rights which we are here to discuss today. Because she feels so strongly about our military personnel, she accepted an invitation to join the board of Directors for the American Family Rights Association so that she can help ensure that our military families are protected against child protective services, an agency that is attacking our military families. She is the Author of American United: A Generations’ Sacrifice during World War II and is currently working on her new book: "Journey of an Embed: Life Comes Full Circle.” |
