New media buzz continues to grow over the Aug11th-Aug18th EQUAL Parenting Bike Trek from Lansing, MI to Washington, D.C. This amazing story and event has already been covered by some the world's top blogs. A recent post on DaddyBlogger.com summarizes all of the excitement over the the EQUAL Parenting Bike Trek. When you have the #27th ranked blog in the world covering this event you know the momentum has just begun! We ask that if you know of any bloggers please make sure you pass this amazing story on to them and ask them to cover this.
With the help of our volunteers we mailed over 1,000 postcards regarding this event to the media, numerous organizations and individuals. This is just the start!! We are currently advertising this event in newspapers, Google, Blogs, and more!
Think about how intense pedaling well over 600 miles will be! Robert Pedersen and Rob Mackenzie will need to be on their bicycles pedaling for a minimum of 9 hours a day!!! This total does NOT include stops, repairs, injuries, resupplying, potential accidents or road hazards, etc. Let's not forget the muscle cramping hills of Pennsylvania!! This is no easy task and that is why so many bloggers and traditional media sources have already picked this story up. Plus, this event is for a good cause - our children!
This event is for the EQUAL Parenting Rights of BOTH genders. It is also for children who will benefit the most from EQUAL Parenting legislation. This effort is not just two dads pedaling bicycles! The supply/media van has a non-custodial mother, a step-mother, a grandparent and two non-custodial dads helping with this effort. Our donations have come from both genders!
