# 447:Jul 23, 2007, John Gozdenovich, New Jersey - I am a non custodial parent, and a disabled Viet Nam Era Veteran who divorced his Brazilian wife because of physical violence upon my then 5 year old son in 2003. She was compelled psych. testing and follow-up psychiatric visits as a result of testing after our divorce. However, after all my efforts she remains the custodial parent. Do these few sentences tell you how flawed the system truly is? The Family Court System is a national disgrace with no "best interest of the child" in it's destructive absolute control of families. Families who do not need "big brother" undermining the basic doctrines of fairness and due process.
# 446:Jul 23, 2007, Stephen Van Osdell, Ohio - It is more than a pathetic disgrace that the Federal government is subsidizing divorce and family separation and misery for children of divorces thru Title IV misapplication. When I hear 'best interest of the children' it makes me nauseated. Follow the MONEY and you will see that states don't want divorces, especially those with children, to stop - they would lose their gravy train.
# 445:Jul 23, 2007, Robert Hutchinson, Michigan - Just Git Rid Of Title IV D IT's Just Income For The State's Parent's Do A Better Job Than Any State Thay Do Not Care About Any Child It' All About The $$$$$$$$$$$ FACT
# 444:Jul 23, 2007, Jeffrey Kapteyn, Michigan - The Federal Government needs to accept responsibility for it's role in funding programs that effectively separate a child from one parent in the vast majority of cases. The Federal Government needs to stop funding the wholesale violation of parental rights that occurs day in and day out across this country. I will not vote for any candidate who does not take a public stand against this practice. It is time for change in Washington!

# 441:Jul 23, 2007, David Homan, Nebraska - it is time for the gov`t. to wake up. our HHSS, entire system, is in discusseding shape. there is too much crimminal activety, and behaviour going in our agencies, for their monetary values, that it has left our children behind, and families destroyed. uncle sam needs to wake up and clean it`s house, now, not later, when it`s benifical to them!

Our government should be upholding family values. Childr4en need both a mother and a father and should not be destroyed in the process

# 436:Jul 23, 2007, Anonymous, Oklahoma - The courts don't care about the children. We have to find a way to MAKE them care!
# 435:Jul 23, 2007, Judi Nicely, California - This country is in a state of crisis when it comes to the family. The bias is usually toward the mother and the father and especially the child suffer tremendously for it. The laws need to be changed and the courts need to wake up to the research that has been done in the area of hostile parenting and parental alienation. I hope that you will give this bill careful consideration and do some research to find out about all the families being torn apart. Thank you, Judi Nicely

It is time that the American public is informed that their social security taxes are being used to finance state enployee salaries of those administering spoucal and children support tranfers agencies, further it is time for the American people to be informed of the cost shifting occuring in state operational budgets to maximize social security funding. It is time that each American is aware that state have finacial incentives to break the american family tradition.

# 424:Jul 23, 2007, Kristine Ormond, Utah - Family Law and Government involvement in familyaffairs has perpetuated the high rate of divorce, 50%, as well as the increase in illigitimate births, 25% of all births. The increase in crime of all kinds, statistically proven the higher percentage in all areas are linked to fatherless homes. STOP THIS NOW BY PUTTING FATHERS BACK IN THE LIVES OF THEIR CHILDREN. Guaranteed income, enforced by state police tactics, CSE Agencies, has proven more destructive than beneficial. As a parent I am no longer sure I would teach my sons to marry and have children. It cannot be a winner take all solution as it now stands.

# 417:Jul 23, 2007, Renee LaPlume, Massachusetts - This is serious and needs immediate attention. Most would not believe what was really happening until it happens to them. I wouldn't have. But I have made many believers when intelligent and educated people in my life have become DISGUSTED by what is going on by watching the needless and wrongful destruction of my family at the time of their birth by our state government and bigoted and ignorant individuals. This is so serious and needs to END. Please pay attention and help! strawberrypen101@yahoo.com
# 416:Jul 23, 2007, Matthew Deshong, Michigan - As I agree with both parents being in the childs life, some peoplre aren't ment to be parents and so just don't know how so they just don't pay support like my ex. It would be nice if the support could be paid directly to you but lets be honest here this isn't a fairy tell and we don't live happyly ever after.
# 415:Jul 23, 2007, Bruce Blandin, New Hampshire - Equal parenting will strengthen families and our broken society!
# 414:Jul 23, 2007, Michael Mohan, New Hampshire - my other address was 244 loon lake road plymouth nh, before a false domestic violence was put on me on labor day 2006, which devestated my kids' ages 17 and 11. because they know the TRUTH!!!.
# 413:Jul 23, 2007, Randall Walton, Idaho - I think that Title IV programs have gotten out of hand. They seem to serve their own interests (i.e. collecting more money to maximize their funding) than those of our children. They don't even ask for an accounting of how the money they take from one parent is used by the recipient parent to benefit the children. A better program would insure the continued involvement of both parents in the childrens' lives rather than this income transfer program (child support). It's become just another manifestation of gender feminist politics. Now it's more about hurting the ex than helping the kids.
# 412:Jul 23, 2007, Paul Clements, South Carolina
# 411:Jul 23, 2007, Jeff Oligny, New Hampshire - Denial is a fearfull coverup of truth and to deny that this well intended Title IV Program has become a sword to be wielded in anger and to help states capitalize on federal incentives is just wrong. All at the demise of the american family! May God save us from this greed for money and control!
# 410:Jul 23, 2007, Katherine Carmichael, Florida - how can the state take better care of the children than a decent parent, yet the children are taken away for simple reasons, and decide to keep them in the system...I know of a family going through this and they are good christian people!

# 405:Jul 23, 2007, Anonymous, Massachusetts - Judges fail to follow the recommendation of competent psychiatrists, psychologists, the conventional or researched wisdom, and they listen to incompetent social workers, most of them women who have a bias on behalf of women, regardless of their parenting skills. The consequences of children growing up in fatherless homes and minimal time with fathers, populate our prisons.
# 404:Jul 23, 2007, Anita Higgins, Virginia - This is the most stupid document I have ever had to sign. My friend who is a father and had50% custody can't see his 14yr. old girl because of distance! He lives in MD. She in AZ. WHY?? can't he see her in 4 yrs. 400.-support paid on time? Mother should pay for ticket to MD. to see dad! WHATS UP! ANITA HIGGINS ON BEHALF OF FRIEND. AFRA-- A PLACE OF CHANGE!!!
# 403:Jul 23, 2007, Christopher Fowler, Florida - The problem with most of the abuse and "child welfare and protection" legislation is that it lays the presumption of guilt on the Father and not ever the Mother. This is an unacceptably biased situation. ALL LAWS should protect the rights of all parties equally. In the cases of divorce, there NEEDS to be a MANDATED presumption of equal capacity to care for the children without respect to gender. Currently this is not the situation. Where shared parenting is not reasonably possible, then there NEEDS TO BE a system of checks and balances to prevent the child support system from being abused by custodial parents, as it currently is. Child support agencies must be forced to protect both parents with equal fervor, rather than the current one-sided and biased system which places ALL financial obligations on the non-custodial parent, who more often than not can ill afford the exorbitant expenses of fighting a system, financed by the taxpaying citizens of this nation, just to make a vain attempt at protecting themselves from government and custodial parent fraud in the NAME of the child.
# 402:Jul 23, 2007, Vicky LaRue, New York - There are so many abusive women that use & abuse New York's battered women services. They lie to social services, they lie to the attorneys that the taxpayers pay for, they lie to the judges, they lie to law enforcement. The saddest part is watching these women make their children lie, to see the hate & distrust in their children's eyes. The children lie to everyone listed including doctors & teachers. There was one women that had 2 children who were in & out of the ER every couple of months or so. She blamed the father but he lived several hours away & never was near them! I know in my heart it was her or her boyfriends, but without proof, there is nothing I could do & she had everyone fooled. This needs to stop, our futures are at stake!
# 401:Jul 23, 2007, Edward Civello, New York - I am the divorced father of 3. I have not spoken to my 17 year old in 3 years. Our relationship was very adversely affected by the minimal time for visitation I was given in my divorce agreement. The limits encouraged by our courts and legislation and malicously applied by my ex spouse. |
