They hide behind the premise that they are seeking the best interest of the children, yet they ignore all the studies and facts that show the damage the system has forced on the non-custodial parent and the children. Although I'm expected to pay 60% of my income to child support, I haven't had one Christmas, Thanksgiving, Halloween, Valentine's day, etc. for the past 8 years. The court doesn't care to recognize how "unreasonable" my "reasonable visitation" is, but they are more than happy to threaten me anytime my support payment is $20 short due to a slow week at work. Every parent is obligated to financially support their children, but sole custody is destroying our children and the non-custodial parent, emotionally, physically, and financially. The courts standard award of sole custody only encourages and rewards behavior that doesn't benefit our children, and encourages the custodial parent to use the "system" for their own financial gain. The courts and States are happy to oblige, as they get to line their pockets in the process.

Our courts don't care about our children - only money and it is very sick and tragic. We need to change our justice system because right now we do not have JUSTICE in our system.
